Now that Elmet has moved out to live with Helenet, things on Hill farm have gotten shaken up before settling into new routines. It’s very quiet here this round. Jia is learning her toddler skills, Drustan is still a very studious and tidy lad, and poor Xiang has had to take over Elmet’s sheeply duties for the time being.

Shockingly, the greenhouse is one of my favorite areas on this lot.

It's been renamed Whitehall Manor, since it looks very different than the original Honeyside Cottage (plus honestly, it's a monstrous house and was never really befitting of the title of "cottage" anyway, IMO). The name is an ode both to Varney the Vampire, and to my favorite period drama, Turn: Washington's Spies.

Shep is having a pretty calm autumn. She checks on the bees (she’s glad now that her mothers insisted she bring that queen bee cell all this way to start a new hive, because the honey has been a nice little boon), chats up random passersby, and works a little bit on her weaving in the evening before it gets too dark for fine work.

Long time no see. A power outage took out my SSD last May, couple that with some IRL stuff, just last month I got bit by the Sims 2 bug again and finally reinstalled the game.

Anyways, when I looked at my old conversions from Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2, I was amazed... they looked like ASS. So, after some farting around with SimPE and Blender, I have fixed them.

UV Maps Appreciation Post

This post will be updated if I'll find anymore interesting things on the subject (well, interesting to me at least).

  • Back to Geography with this one; I've seen in several places people saying they don't like/understand UV Mapping or unwrapping. Well, I love mapping and had this video by Vox saved. It's short, light, and explains very clearly how projections work, it helped me catch up on the issue. Unwrapping from what I understand, is basically the first part in the video where the guy is fighting the globe.

Summer is prime time for harvesting Helenet’s herbs, so she and Angus spend their mornings in the garden; many of the herbs are most potent when they’re harvested before the sun hits its peak. Angus quickly loses interest in picking apples and prefers quietly playing with his blocks.

Starting this blog with something useful, I hope. [imported from Tumblr, will be updated here].

Sooo this is going to be a long comprehensive list. I got back to this game after a long time and with a different computer, with a dedicated graphics card, hurray!
